Key takeaways from the Revenue Marketing Summit, Las Vegas

We asked Elizabeth Brendes, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at CAEL what her key takeaway was from attending the Revenue Marketing Summit in Las Vegas.

She said, “There were a lot of learning points that I thought were really helpful for everybody who's been in attendance today. Some really interesting ideas about, for example, sales development representatives, and where they sit in the organization which was really interesting.”

She continued, “There were some really good comments about how alignment needs to happen at your organization to be successful for revenue marketing and just a lot of new interesting ideas for me to take home and think about how I can apply my own organization.”

Pete Larkin, VP of Marketing and Sales at Parlay also shared his thoughts, saying, “Today’s event has been really great. I've enjoyed meeting so many different people, hearing their insights, and just connecting and networking with some really fantastic marketers.

We had a great response from Aristomenis Capogeannis, Senior Director of Enterprise Revenue Marketing at NVIDIA. Having attended the summit, he emerged with a crucial soft skill - one that, arguably, is very hard to replicate.

He said, “My key takeaway today was learning the importance of empathy, and how to deal with friction both internally within the team and cross-functionally in the organization. I think we get so ingrained in what we do that pulling back that the human level is probably the most important thing.”

Yvete Minor, Marketing Director at Bonterra, also shared what she gained from attending, saying, “I discovered the importance of being open to innovation and understanding how important team alignment is between marketing and sales and just continuing to keep that dialogue open.”

Pete Larkin, VP of Marketing and Sales at Parlay said, “There have been a lot of great benefits to attending the Revenue Marketing Summit. I think one of them is really just networking with some really incredible marketers, and hearing some of their great insights that they're sharing.”

He continued, “I love coming to these types of events to learn, to hear what other marketers are doing, and how they're finding success. I like seeing how I can take implement some of those learnings and ideas in my own company.”

Aristomenis Capogeannis, Senior Director of Enterprise Revenue Marketing at NVIDIA closed the discussion with a really important insight. He said, “We don't get the opportunity to get outside our little box that we're in and really rub shoulders with other individuals. Cross industry, cross product offering, we're all fighting the same fight.

“It’s really important to think outside the box by ingraining yourself with other like-minded individuals. At this event, I’m not being sold to; instead, I’ve spent time collaborating with individuals - it’s been very good.”
